This 116 unit mixed-use senior residence is located in Brownsville neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. The project was sponsored and funded by a consortium of public and private entities, including HUD, HPD and DASNY. The apartments, and residential spaces were designed to maximized habitable floor area, and will be finished with durable yet elegant materials. Residential amenities include a landscaped and private courtyard, indoor parking, a roof terrace, and a 1200 SF community room. On the first floor and cellar, Terjesen Associates Architects designed a 9200 SF Senior Center, to be operated by Catholic Charities of Brooklyn + Queens, to serve the needs of a growing elderly population in the surrounding neighborhood.
