WHO WE ARE

James H. Terjesen

has been a practicing architect for over 30 years. During that time he has concentrated on the design and construction of a wide variety of medical and senior-housing projects. These include hospital-alterations, ambulatory surgery centers, skilled nursing facilities, diagnostic and treatment facilities, skilled nursing facilities,medical offices, and renal-dialysis centers. His experiences with geriatric care has resulted in a significant number of successful projects for the elderly. He also has considerable expertise in a variety of other project-types which include commercial buildings, schools and offices. He has been awarded many design awards for his work in these fields.


Richard Pierce 

a practicing architect, is a member of the firm since 1994; becoming a partner in 2006. He was directly involved in a number of major projects including most recently the Harrison Circle project in the Bronx. He has taken projects from their inception, through the design phase, the preparation of construction documents and on through the construction phase to project completion. Mr. Pierce has extensive expertise with NYC Building Code and NY State Department of Health requirements, medical facility design and housing for the elderly.


Anton Mitchell 

joined the firm in 1993 and became a partner in 2006. His involvement and experience in medical and healthcare facility design and construction has been an integral component in the completion of numerous successful projects as listed below. He oversees projects thorough all phases of design including construction oversight and coordination with associated jurisdictive agencies such as the NYC Dept. of Buildings and NYS Department of Health. Patience, professionalism and a genuine attention to client needs and goals have lead to progressive and healthy working relationships. His current role with the firm is not only to be the project architect on various medical facilities but to also lend expertise in design and development of all of TAA’s healthcare related facilities.
